Duncan McFarlane on acoustic guitar, mandolin, cittern & vocals

Duncan's a punchy guitarist in the 'English folk' style and offers a set equally split between his own songs and an obvious feel for the tradition which he puts across with lively showmanship.
Stylistically, his guitar technique falls very much within the Carthy / Nic Jones school, with a strong rhythmic impetus that's infectious in the extreme. His singing has real character too. His own songs show a canny grasp of, and response to, the tradition, while his intrinsic seriousness of intent and approach is often laced with a healthy irreverence that happens to be hugely entertaining.(fRoots, Living Tradition & Traditional Music Maker)

Anne Brivoneses on acoustic & electric fiddle & vocals.

To the already full sound of Duncan's own tremendous guitar playing, Anne Brivonese contributes excellent, sympathetic yet punchy fiddle; Supremely exciting playing without needing to act the show-off ; Her violin rolls out a carpet of sound over which the action ceaselessly capers. Standing serene at the centre of proceedings, not just adding elegant and exciting fiddle, Anne also gets a chance to show off her voice and a great voice it is too, contributing lovely supporting harmony vocals. She is a real star.
(from Tykes News & The Living Tradition)

Together, they provide excellent bouncy songs that have great choruses and will certainly get your feet tapping.

George Papavgeris on acoustic guitar and vocals.

As a performer, George has a unique singing style. First impressions of gentility and understatement are quickly dispelled by his trademark passion. As a writer, he is driven by a love of people with all their imperfections, conveying the various issues and concerns with a healthy integrity and a deep folk sensibility. George is clearly conversant with a variety of musical styles and song forms, and his versatility extends throughout the many facets of folk music and types of song - from seasonal to the theory and practice of war, protest, industrial, vocational, social observation, local history/nostalgia, childhood memories, maritime, philosophical anthems and story songs. Now and then he also mirrors the music and rhythms of his native Greece .

It promises to be a fantastic evening with songs that will make you happy and sad. So don't miss out on this wonderful evening. Get your tickets reserved early to save disappointment.
